Mc Loones Ivy Honey

pure local honey. This honey is produced by organically managed native Irish bees near the Gweebara River in West Donegal.

The bees collect pollen from a variety of plants through the year which has a huge impact on the texture, taste and medicinal benefits of the honey.

The McLoone Family keep a watchful eye on their bees to see which plants they are collecting the pollen from and follow slightly different production methods to suit each unique batch.

🌿Ivy honey is used as an anti-inflammatory for the lungs, spleen, liver and Kidneys. It is also also used to ease coughs. Cough relieving properties are attributed to the unique compound “Hederacoside C” which is present in pure ivy honey.
